Dada's Prayers: Part 2 (Two Months Old)

Dada's Prayers: Part 2 (Two Months Old)

Heavenly Father, I pray that David’s heart always seeks the light, like his eyes do now—the light from a window or a light bulb hanging from the ceiling or the reflections off his favorite balloon.

I pray for him to have a heart of worship, like David, like me when I was in high school, praising God to Jars of Clay and DC Talk (speaking of that, Lord, let him not think my taste in music is completely lame). May David “want to be in the light, as you are in the light, and shine like the stars in the heavens…”

I pray for David’s dark days. May you be a light in the darkness, may David have the confidence in you and your goodness to bring even his painful, weary, dark and doubting thoughts. May his heart be shaped by the trust of the psalms, always ending his prayers with assurance that you, O Lord, are his Rock.
